5th Japan-SAARC Energy Symposium [JSES]

The “5th Japan-SAARC Energy Symposium” will be held at the Mount Lavinia Hotel, Colombo, Sri Lanka on 1st and 2nd March 2012. Seventeen foreign experts from SAARC member countries and Japan are invited to make presentations at this two-day event funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Government of Japan. They are also invited to participate in the subsequent two-day site visit on 3rd and 4th March 2012 to Hambantota funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). This event is organised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in partnership with the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority (SLSEA).  Read More

The Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Moratuwa is pleased to announce the commencement of the Postgraduate programmes in “Energy Technology” and “Manufacturing Systems Engineering” for the academic year 2012/2013 and invites applications for admission from suitably qualified candidates. Mech HUB opening ceremony

The organising committee invited all in the campus to the opening ceremony of the New Building, the Mechanical Engineering Hub.

The ceremony started at 9.30 am 1st April  morning.

Official opening of the building was at the auspicious time by the Chief guest ,Mr. Ajith Navard Cabraal, the Governer of Central Bank.by cutting the ribbon at 10.11 am

SolidCAM Seminar

ACECAM (Pvt) Ltd as the Value Added Reseller for SolidCAM in Sri Lanka was like to introduce the usage of some of advance features accompanied in the SolidCAM to University of Moratuwa.

  A half a day session was organized at the University premises (MEFR) on 18th of March 2010 starting at 9.00 am.
